The Catcher in the Rye

The Catcher in the Rye is an all-time classic in coming-of-age literature- an elegy to teenage alienation, capturing the deeply human need for connection and the bewildering sense of loss as we leave childhood behind.

I think this book gets a bad rep. I thought it was pretty decent as is, but I do remember Holden being a but insufferable. I did like the parts where Holden explores New York, but it did make me feel strangely nostalgic / empty all throughout. Pretty good overall.
